Pleasant View is committed to taking a particular book of the Bible and preaching through it verse by verse. This helps us to accurately understand scripture by using context, original languages, historical background, and comparison to other scripture. Scripture is interpreted by scripture and not by man’s intellect, emotions, or cultural trends. The Holy Spirit reveals truth from scripture that can never be seen or understood otherwise. God’s word is authoritative and sufficient. Our desire is to preach a text and not simply give an antedote.
