Communion is an ordinance that our Lord Jesus give us that reflects the gospel. The bread is a symbol of His body broken for us. The cup is a symbol of His blood, spilled unto death for us. The work of Christ is the only work that satisfies the wrath of God toward those who believe in Him and by faith receive Him as the pleasing sacrifice for their sins.
