Matthew 6:1-4. Jesus begins to reveal God's heart for the way "outward formal righteousness" is displayed, and discerning the motives behind it. He focuses on our giving, praying, and fasting. Do we sound our trumpets so that we are the attention of others? Or are we careful that our heart is pure and that we want people to see God and His wonderful kingdom?
