This week's sermon comes from Matthew 8:14-17. The healing ministry of Jesus was a foretaste of the fullness of God’s kingdom at it’s consummation. Sin brought about sickness, Jesus heals sickness as a foretaste of His finished work on the cross, which ultimately conquers sin. Jesus rose from the grave which guarantees the consummation of His future glorious kingdom.
