We believe that missions exist because worship doesn't. All people were created to glorify God
but sin leaves us spiritually dead. Mankind is separated from God because they
are sinners. Jesus is the satisfaction to those who by faith believe and trust
Him! He satisfied God's wrath for our sin, and He satisfies our longing for
fellowship with God. Our mission is to spread the fame of His all glorious Name
so that people can find true joy in Him. God put forth His own Son Jesus to
purchase us with His own death on the cross so that we can know and love God. Our mandate is to take this good news to all people groups.
Pleasant View's goal is to be on mission where we live, work, go
to school, and have relationships. We also want to provide opportunities to
serve on trips in North America and internationally on a annual basis. We have
an ongoing partnership with Pastor John Parrish and Evangel Fellowship SBC. We
have joined with them in an effort to reach "Appalachia" with the message
of hope in Jesus Christ.
Mexico
Mission
In Feburary we traveled with a team of
fourteen people
from our church to Tlapacoyan, Veracruz, Mexico to partner with Gethsemane
Baptist Church. Pastor Pedro Patino and his wife Mari have been faithfully
serving there. Our church partnered with their church and helped with
construction on a Parsonage, Puppet Ministry, training, and other needs the church had.
God used the team in great ways for His glory.
